Celebrating 25 Years: UTR’s Top 25 Children’s Storybooks
July 25, 2014
It was 25 years ago that United Through Reading founder, Betty Mohlenbrock, had the bold vision that service members and their families could remain connected during military separations through the simple act of recording a storybook.
Each day of that 25 years, we have been honored to be able to give the simple gift of bringing service members home each night for Good Night Moon or Green Eggs & Ham to those that make great sacrifices for us. And, we continue to be humbled by the generosity of the donors and volunteers who dedicate themselves and their resources to our mission, making these treasured moments a reality.
In celebration of 25 years of connecting military families through reading, we have shared a list of the top 25 children storybooks read by our service members near and far. We’re sure to be turning the pages of these classics for another 25 years…
