January 5, 2016

United Through Reading is celebrating the close of 2015 and the new year with some exciting news from the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation (CKFF). The CKFF is dedicated to serving military and first responders through meaningful interactive experiences that enrich family relationships. Recognizing that United Through Reading (UTR) provides such an experience for military families facing deployment, the CKFF selected UTR to receive a $10,000 holiday grant for 2015.

We are honored to have been chosen as an organization that reflects the foundation’s goal of building a community of thriving, resilient military and first responder families, and to be among the great company of the other eight organizations selected including Camp Southern Ground, Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S), Special Ops Survivors, Returning Heroes Home, First Responder Support Network’s, Camp C.O.P.E., Erik Hite Foundation, and The Healing Road Foundation.

“United Through Reading is privileged to receive this backing from the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation,” said Sally Ann Zoll, Ed.D., UTR’s Chief Executive Officer. “The work that the foundation does to lift up military and first responder families and ensure their resilience in the midst of a demanding and challenging work environment is so closely aligned with the heart and mission of United Through Reading. We are thrilled to be in company of these organizations seeking to enrich the lives of these families.”
