United Through Reading’s fourth annual Tribute to Military families will give recognition to the corporate, public policy, and military leaders whose support is vital to mission delivery and will highlight our 40 Million Stories Campaign.
Nearly a quarter of a million children in U.S. military families go to bed each night missing out on bedtime stories with a deployed parent. Over a conservative 6-month deployment, more than 40 million of these bedtime stories are missed.
UTR sent home 20% of these stories last year, but there are still many stories to save. UTR’s 40 Million Stories Campaign will begin to bridge the gap, striving to ensure all military families have access to the read-aloud experience.
