We don’t care where you read as long as you join us today, March 2, as United Through Reading kick’s off the National Education Association’s Read Across America campaign for the month of March, an annual reading motivation and awareness program, to help encourage every child, in every community, to celebrate reading starting on Dr. Seuss’ Birthday.

During Read Across America month we encourage our service members to record special Dr. Seuss stories for kids back home. At United Through Reading locations around the world, including select USO sites, service members will crack open their Dr. Seuss books and grab their Dr. Seuss “Cat in the Hat” hats to record a Dr. Seuss classic for the children they love at home.

If you are a military spouse or a caregiver of military children, get the kids excited about the reading celebration and be ready to record their reactions to their UTR stories featuring the silliest rhymes from Dr. Seuss! Share your pictures, videos and stories with us on Facebook, or send them tostories@utr.org.
