We invite you to join
United Through Reading in our mission:
We unite families facing physical separation by facilitating the bonding experience of reading aloud together.
Since our inception in
1989, volunteers have contributed to
the successful development and implementation
of United Through Reading's programs
by giving over
204,502 hours of time.
We appreciate the generosity and dedication
of our volunteers and recognize that
volunteers are a key component for
the continued success of our programs.
- The United Through Reading® Military Program Volunteers:
Provide assistance raising awareness in our military community
- United Through Reading
administrative support:
Assist
with office support at our Sorrento Valley headquarters.
- United Through Reading Inmate Program workshop facilitator:
Lead
workshops for incarcerated parents
and videotape them reading aloud
to their children.
