Featured Book

Over 200 copies of It’s a Family Thanksgiving! A Celebration of an American Tradition for Children and Their Families by Debbie Fink have been sent to commands worldwide so that deployed service members may participate in Operation Thanksgiving Eagle (OTE) by reading age-appropriate sections aloud on DVD to their children, nieces, nephews, or siblings.

Author Debbie Fink in collaboration with Dr. Enid Portnoy created a “Guide for Reading and a Guide for Recording” specifically for our United Through Reading families so that service members may read sections that highlight the aspects of Thanksgiving traditions that are most important to them and their families.

Through OTE, copies of It’s a Family Thanksgiving may be ordered from AUSA Family Programs.  Supplies are limited, so please order soon.
