Bill is a graduate of the University of Arizona. Prior to joining the Collins Companies in 1976, Bill was an independent commercial real estate broker after having spent four years prior with IBM.  Bill has served on the Board of the La Jolla YMCA and was a founder and past President of the Foundation of La Jolla High School.  He has served on fundraising events for a variety of San Diego charitable causes, and has recently joined the Advisory Board of the San Diego Symphony.  Bill and his wife Stephanie have lived in San Diego for thirty-nine years.  They have four grown children and eleven grandchildren.
