Military Child Education Coalition

United Through Reading and Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) are like-minded in their efforts to use literature in a way that fosters skills for resilience and strong parent-child connections.  MCEC’s Growing, Learning, Understanding (GLU) Kits  http://www.militarychild.org/child-student/early-literacy/) are designed to develop early literacy skills in children from birth through second grade.  United Through Reading participants or caregivers may purchase these kits to further the educational benefits of that title when read by the deployed parent on DVD.
