We use the information you provide about yourself to complete your request of us, or in the case of surveys from program participants, to add to our data about specific programs. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete your request.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

You can register with our website to receive our newsletters, program reports, fundraising materials and information about special events. Registration information is not shared with outside parties. We also provide an opportunity to remove your name from the registration list with each message that we send.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website. For example, by using web site statistics we can determine which pages are most important to our visitors and then expand those pages or make them easier to find.

We will not sell or exchange your personal information including your name, mailing or e-mail addresses, phone numbers or web addresses.

Finally, we do not use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without first asking your permission, and providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

United Through Reading takes the protection of our donors’ financial information very seriously.  All donation and payment links on this site direct the user to a secure online payment system powered by PayPal.  All financial information that is given directly to United Through Reading via mail, email, fax or phone, containing banking or credit card information is maintained in compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
