2013 Storybook Ball Celebrates Keeping Families in Touch

United Through Reading held its 5th Annual Storybook Ball on Saturday, November 9th at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine.  The gala is an annual fundraiser to support United Through Reading’s work to offer military service members the opportunity to be video-recorded reading storybooks to their children at home from 200 locations around the world.  

With title sponsor BAE Systems, 345 guests and other sponsors including Target and the Dr. Seuss Foundation, t he gala raised nearly $400,000. 

The Storybook Ball is a wonderful way for United Through Reading to show our appreciation to the volunteers and funders who make our work possible and the military families we serve.   It is a fantastic celebration of another remarkable year and the good work of so many.

United Through Reading is grateful to its supporters from San Diego and across the nation who came together to support military families, celebrate the work of the volunteers, and raise funds to support the mission of United Through Reading.
